About Time

This catalogue was published on the occasion of Brent Wadden's first solo exhibition at Peres Projects in 2013. The show presented vast paintings, displaying geometric abstractions obtained through hand-woven weavings. Brent Wadden's work invites to question traditional painting and materials, as well as an artwork's preparation, as the composition emerges in the last stages of preparation. The book features texts by T’ai Smith ‘Stretching Painting: on Tension in the Work of Brent Wadden’ as well as a conversation between Brent Wadden and Nicolas Trembley.
